Estonian Air Navigation Services new Management Board commences work

Today, October 1, is the first working day for the newly elected Estonian Air Navigation Services (EANS) three membered Management Board. The Chairman of Management Board is Ivar Värk, the CNS/ATM is headed by Jaanus Jakimenko, and Üllar Salumäe continues to run Air Traffic Management.

Drones support Estonian emergency services during pandemic

Estonian Air Navigation Services, Frequentis and Threod Systems support Estonia with COVID-19 drone operations Estonian Air Navigation Services, (EANS) has enlisted the support of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) manufacturer, Threod Systems and safety-critical technology provider, Frequentis, to support Estonian blue-light forces with a series of essential drone operations during the COVID19 lockdown. The operations are supporting Estonian emergency services with medical transport and information gathering.

Estonian Air Navigation Services and Frequentis AG signed a CADAS systems upgrade contract

On the 19th of December a CADAS systems upgrade contract was signed between Estonian Air Navigation Services (Lennuliiklusteeninduse AS) and Frequentis AG . It is a two-year project during which most of the systems used in briefing and AIP group will be significantly improved and upgraded. Frequentis AG has been a good partner to us for almost a decade already and we hope to continue being at the forefront in Europe of modernizing our systems with their support.

Estonian Air Navigation Services (EANS) and Air Navigation Services Finland (ANS Finland), the main air navigation service providers in Estonia and Finland have a long record of excellent cooperation in the field of Air Traffic Management because of their adjacent areas of responsibility and especially the need to coordinately manage the traffic flows to/from biggest airports under their responsibility – Helsinki-Vantaa and Tallinn.
