Aeronautical Information

Aeronautical information is a set of data and information required for flight planning and operating.

Technology

The main requirements established for technical support are: high reliability, redundancy, accuracy of parameters, continuous systems monitoring, recording of operational information, data integrity and high information security.

Air Traffic Control

The primary objective of air traffic control is to ensure safety and prevent collisions both between aircraft and between aircraft and other obstacles on the ground.

Development activities

EANS development activities are systematic, sustainable and competitive; they aim to ensure ANS service provision and ATM system operability.

Estonia’s remote tower was selected as the Deed of the Year in Estonian Aviation

The remote tower solution of Estonian Air Navigation Services (EANS) was announced Deed of the Year in Estonian Aviation at INAIR 2023, the International Conference on Air Transport. Additionally, the remote tower also received the People’s Favourite Award.

Changes in membership of the Supervisory Board of Lennuliiklusteeninduse AS

Head of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Climate Taivo Linnamägi was appointed the new member of the Supervisory Board of Lennuliiklusteeninduse AS, which will proceed with three members. The main challenge that the local aviation industry is currently facing is recovery from the rapid reduction of air traffic owing to two consecutive crises. A number of developments, such as several new drone-related solutions, are also in the works.

First remote tower is now live in Estonia

Tartu has become the first airfield in Estonia to have its Aerodrome Flight Information Service (AFIS) provided with the remote tower system in Tallinn.
