EANS, despite being one of the smallest ANS Providers in the world, has emerged even on the international aviation arena as an enterprise, which is rapidly developing, efficiently functioning and providing quality services.
The most prestigious evidence of our recognition is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) EAGLE AWARD, received in 2003; its nominees are the best airports and Air Navigation Service Providers of the world. This valuable and honourable award is granted to those who have succeeded in the provision of economically beneficial but, at the same time, quality services to airlines being efficient in improving their services and customer relations.
In Estonian context major achievement of EANS was winning the “Estonian Quality Award” and the title of the best company in the public sector initiated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, EAS Export Agency and Estonian Association for Quality in 2002.
In spring 2003 the Estonian “Employee friendly employer” contest was organised by “Äripäev” (Business Day) newspaper and “Pere ja Kodu” (“Home and Family”) magazine. TOP 500 enterprises got invitations to participate in it. We took the III place, which is an honour for us.
In spring 2009 Estonian Transport and Road Workers’ Trade Union awarded EANS with the title of “Employee-friendly Employer 2008” in the aviation sector. The nominees were selected according to 3 criteria – remuneration, healthy and clean work environment and the attitude to the improvement of social dialogue between the Company employees and the management.
In 2011 two new of EANS systems were short-listed for JANE’S ATC Award . The goal of the award is to highlight the achievements in the field of air traffic control:
During the Awarding ceremony, AviBit Data Processing GmbH and the new EANS Tower System were noted in the service provision category. The new Air Traffic Management System of Tallinn Tower was put into operation in February 2011 – it was one of the best integrated Tower Systems in the world.
COMSOFT GmbH was also shortlisted in the industry category for the first automated electronic Aeronautical Information Publication (eAIP) system with Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM) v.5.1 compliant aeronautical information database, which had been procured by EANS from COMSOFT. EANS is one of the first service providers in the world to implement AIXM 5.1 database that is integrated both with e-AIP system and European AIS Database (EAD).
At the end of 2012 the Executive Management of Borealis Alliance of North European ANSPs decided to award EANS for the contributions to environmental 3Di exercise. EANS participated in the extraction of flight data from the ATM system for Finavia. The contribution of Natalja Kunimägi, EANS air traffic analyst, into 3Di exercise was appreciated a lot. The monetary portion of the award was allocated towards Tallinn Hospice (SA EELK Tallinna Diakooniahaigla).
In 2016 EANS took the ninth place in the Äripäev (Business Day) newspaper’s table of TOP 100 of Estonia’s Leading Enterprises.
In 2017 the Ministry of the Environment organised competition Environment-Friendly Enterprise of the Year, where EANS won a special award for its Free Route Airspace project in the category of environmental action.
