The Supervisory Board of Lennuliiklusteeninduse AS at own meeting approved Annual Report for 2000. The auditor Mr. Marek Sukk from KPMG Auditing Company approved the report without remarks and acknowledged that it met all the current legislative documents.The total revenue in 2000 was 129.7 mln EEK, net profit - 40.3 mln EEK, total assets - 269.2 mln EEK and owner’s equity – 195.8 mln EEK. |

Annual meeting of EANS customer’s – the representatives of Estonian Air, FINNAIR, AVIES, Pakker Aviation, Air Baltic, State Aviation Group, Air Force etc. – was held. The results of the previous working year in EANS, activities on ensuring flight safety, feedback from the customer’s were reviewed. Draft plans for the improvement of the services were presented for their evaluation by the customers. |

8,33kHz Project |

The meeting on the operational aspects of the implementation of 8,33kHz channel spacing Project in the North and North-East of Europe is held by EUROCONTROL and hosted by Lennuliiklusteeninduse AS. The participants represent ATC service-providing organisations from EUROCONTROL, Scandinavian and Baltic States, Poland, Byelorussia, Germany and Russia. The introduction of 8.33 channel spacing instead of the existing 25 kHz will enable more efficient use of the range of radio frequencies and establishment of new ATS sectors. 8.33 Project will be implemented gradually in different regions from 2000 – up to 2003.

Second Meeting on the Integration and Co-operation over Baltic Sea will be held in Tallinn, Estonia on the initiative of Poland and ICAO. The aim of the meeting is to continue the talks on possible establishment of Common Upper Flight Information Region over the high seas area of the Baltic Sea. The representatives from Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Russian Federation and ICAO will take part in this forum.

Grant Agreement |

The Grant Agreement is entered into between the Government of the United States of America, acting through the U.S Trade and Development Agency and Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme representing Baltic States for provison of assistance in developing Baltic States regional CNS-ATM Transition Plan. Ceremony took place in Riga in LGS premises. Transition Plan considers short term (0-5 years) and long term (6-10 years) implementation of CNS-ATM technologies. Milestone for completion of transition Plan is scheduled on year 2003. |

The passing away |

On May 15 at the cemetery of Parnamae we said last "Good bye" to Vladimir Pankov, - 22.09.1946 - 10.05.2001, - our former radar specialist. He started his work at Tallinn Airport as radio technician at the end of 60-ies after soldiery and was a specialist in direction finders, RSBN equipment and surveillance radar he has done a lot for the well-being of Estonian aviation.In our memories he will stay as an honest, straightforward and understanding person.

Test Flights |

Annual test flights to calibrate radio and navigation equipment. They are ordered from the Finnish CAA to test if the DVOR/DME in Tallinn, VOR/DME in Vohma and Kuressaare meet the ICAO Annex 10 requirements. At the request from NAR representative Mr. J. Eikenes, VOR/DME in Parnu will be calibrated a bit later, after the reconstruction of the facilities. |

This is the lifetime of Gennadi Rebzujev - the man who retired from our organisation. Gennadi Rebzujev started his carrier in Estonia at aircraft repairing plant AZR-74 in1960. After the plant ceased the activities he worked at Tallinn Airport as technical specialist and security inspector. After regaining independence in Estonia he came to work to the newly established Estonian CAA as an electrical engineer of technical Department and continued working there until retirement making important contribution into the development of Estonian aviation. He will stay in our memories as calm, devoted and committed person. |

New unit price of terminal charges for air navigation services |

Taking into consideration the new meteotarifs and the corresponding changes to income-expenses structure EANS has developed new price unit for calculating terminal navigation charges. The difference of the unit price for local and foreign customers is also eliminated since there’s no difference in rendering services for local or international traffic. The new unit price is 1220 EEK (77.97 EUR), it is agreed with ECAA and comes into force from January 1, 2002. The calculation methods haven’t been changed. |
