This year a new VFR Information Guide has been issued by Aeronautical Information Management of EANS; this project was initiated three years ago when it appeared that private and hobby aviation started evolving rapidly but there was no consistent, reliable and high quality data on local aerodromes available. Then the project was discontinued until this past summer when the final version of the VFR Information Guide was prepared, and beginning from 9 June 2009 it is available on the AIP home page: http://aip.eans.ee.
This assures international accessibility to the Information Guide. All users can just print it out, and what is more – the use of it is free! But it should not be ignored that the VFR Information Guide is copyright protected.
The VFR Information Guide includes informative data and also restrictions for the use of VFR aerodromes imposed by the aerodrome holders. For the first time the data were presented in the standard format making search for similar information for all aerodromes easier. In addition to the convenient data presentation location maps for every airport are included which facilitates positioning.
